Questions about meeting notes
Is the note generator free?
Yes. You can use the tool, edit the full result, and copy or download your notes without creating an account. AI generation is subject to usage limits.
Can I use a Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet transcript?
Yes. Paste its text, or import a UTF-8 TXT, VTT, or SRT export. Include speaker labels when they are available. Importing reads the text into this page; generation sends it for AI processing.
What will the meeting notes include?
The default preset has a summary, confirmed decisions, action items with owners and deadlines, and open questions. Suggestions remain proposals until the source records an agreement. Missing owners or dates are marked as unspecified.
What if my transcript is too long?
Each request supports up to 12,000 characters. Choose a relevant discussion or split a longer transcript by topic. Oversized imports are rejected without truncating your text or replacing the current draft.
Which formats can I download?
Download Markdown for a text editor or notes app, HTML to open as a page in your browser, or JSON for structured data. Format changes preserve your edits and do not generate the note again.
Are my notes saved automatically?
No. Your source, settings, and note stay in this page while it is open. Copy or download your work before refreshing or leaving. When AI generation is enabled, your text is sent for processing; see the privacy policy for details.
How is my note created?
Generate Notes asks AI to organize the text you provide using your selected layout. Review names, numbers, and important details before using the result.
